D. MacInnes

The Rising was my first encounter with the author Robert Ovies, which makes perfect sense since this is his first novel. I was intrigued when I read the synopsis on the website at http://the-rising.homestead.com. I found the story outline compelling and was curious to see if he could tell the story in a manner that his premise demanded. Accomplished story telling is a fine art. After reading his work he demonstrated to be a master of the art form. On the rating scale of 1 to 5, this is a solid 5-star.
