Wouldn't it be more convincing if they were allowed to speak Italian (let alone Latin!)?

I hope they didn't dilute any of Augustine's story of his faith struggle, and actually managed to convey some of the poetry and passion of his writing.

The trailer makes it look rather mainstream, Hollywood-ish and heavy-handed.
I do hope I'm mistaken!

The film is apparently the American release of the 2009 two-part Italian television miniseries. You can find an English version with Croatian subtitles on YouTube at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=swKfgFGGZhg&feature=related and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2933FkYWZbI&feature=relmfu
