I was told by a bishop in Australia that Hildegard of Bingen used mandalas to assist her in prayer. I Googled this but couldn't come up with anything. Is this correct?

Hildegard of Bingen: Saint of the Universal Church, by Leroy Huizenga.

Lou

I am thrilled to read that Hildegard of Bingen will be raised to the honor of Saint/ Doctor of the Church. Five years ago I did not even know who she was. I was in a record store looking for music to purchase. I believe it was the Holy Spirit who prompted me to turn around. I did, and there was a CD with the music of Hildegard. Intrigued, I picked up the CD to read more. After purchasing the CD, I became more interested in who she was,and wondered why I had not heard of her before.
I believe she will be able to teach us much. Congratulations! Hildegard of Bingen.
