I thank You Father for letting me love You to life.

Dan

Somewhere in his writings (I can't begin to recall where) Joseph Ratzinger commented that the expressions of romantic love in popular music often have in them an inkling of recognition of divine love. He explained (paraphrasing very broadly): In popular love songs, the lyrics often speak of love as being eternal: "Our love will last forever," "I will always love you baby," etc. They thus recognize that true love by its nature is eternal, and this is consistent with Christian dogma that God is eternal and God is love - that God is eternal love.
