My Franciscan college had a unique (an excellent) course in metaphysics from the Scotistic perspective. As a result, most of my small knowledge of Aquinas is about how he differs from Scotus.

I've been intrigued to learn more about Scotus since G.M. Hopkins wrote a poem about him, "Duns Scotus's Oxford", in which he says about him: "...[he] who of all men most sways my spirits to peace". I like that line a lot.
