Charles E Flynn

There are people who spend in excess of $160,000 on a college education who never hear or read the expression "poor banished children of Eve" or "this "valley (or vale) of tears". Many of them never learn that they have been deprived, but every once in a while, one of them wants to know why she has been deprived, and is too polite to demand a refund. I had to explain to a friend of mine that this world is not our home, but is an exile, and that every Catholic schoolgirl already knows that (or should). My friends's deprivation can be traced to a egomaniac serial wife murderer who wore a crown.

Alexis Mauldin

Mr. Flynn, your description in your last sentence is almost word for word how I describe that particular pompous, uh, monarch.

And I'm putting this book on the "to be read" list.
