Deacon Harold

What does it matter? We'll all be dead on December 21, 2012 anyway! :-)

Amen, Deacon Harold, and thanks for the reminder. That's why I stopped buying lottery tickets.

My son would love to have a time machine so he could go back and change John Nelson Darby's opinions.

But Catholics have their own End Times fantasies, although these are based more on apparitions and private revelations. (The Three Days of Darkness might as well be a "reverse" Rapture.) Such expectations surged in the 1990s and seem to have subsided. I took a lot of heat for pointing out that Fr. Stefan Gobbi's prediction that all Marian promises would be fulfilled by 1998 did not come true. But Fr. Gobbi's private "revelations" stopped that year.

I'll stop buying green bananas next year I think.

Rapture is a man made concept, definitely not biblical nor a truth brought about by the Holy Spirit. Just a concept some guys made up to sell some books. Not very well written books either.
