by Fr. Thomas Euteneuer
Foreword by Fr. John Corapi
The phenomenon of demonic possession is one of the most frightening realities of the fallen human condition—and one of the most misunderstood. For those who seek insight into this serious aspect of the Christian faith, Fr. Euteneuer, an exorcist who has performed numerous exorcisms as well as dozens of deliverances on afflicted persons, has compiled an in-depth compendium of the basic teachings about exorcism, which will give the reader an insider’s perspective on the Church’s warfare against the enemy of our souls.
This major work on exorcism includes copious footnotes, an extensive index, nine appendices, and eight pages of bibliography. Chapters include “Jesus, Chief Exorcist”, “Exorcism and Church Authority”, “Healing and Deliverance”, “The Conduct of Exorcism”, “Pastoral Considerations” and more.
“Fr. Thomas Euteneuer has performed a valuable service in giving us his
book Exorcism and the Church Militant. Everyone seeking a more
complete knowledge of the Catholic-Christian faith, indeed, reality
itself, can profit from a careful and prayerful reading of this book.
Priests especially should profit from this material, for it is my
personal experience that the need for it has increased exponentially in
recent years. Preparation for this dimension of spiritual warfare is
singularly lacking in almost all seminaries, novitiates, or other
Catholic institutions of learning. One of the reasons for this is that
many such institutions have faculty that, from all indications, don’t
necessarily believe what the Church believes. This leaves a terrible
void, so much so that it is often extremely difficult to find a priest
with even the most rudimentary knowledge of this essential facet of
priestly ministry. The effect on souls can be devastating. Hopefully
this fine book will inspire many priests to equip themselves with the
necessary weapons to fight for souls in this arena.”
- Fr John Corapi, S.O.L.T.
Fr. Thomas Euteneuer, the President of Human Life
International, has been performing exorcisms for seven years with
approval from numerous dioceses in the United States. His interest in
the ministry was a natural outgrowth of his work in the pro-life field,
which deals with the organized power of evil on a global scale. Exorcism
has allowed him to combine both his years of pastoral experience with
his expertise in the pro-life movement; and in the last several years,
he has performed dozens of full exorcisms and many dozen deliverances on
afflicted persons.

This is fantastic! Praise God for this Fr. Euteneuer, and for this book.
There is another excellent book on this subject, Unbound, by Neal Lozano. He speaks from his experience as a layman, working with both Catholics and non-Catholic Christians.
