I suspect that Fr. Kelly never took a course in quantum mechanics. He's waving the term like a magic wand.

Dr. Barr's book, Modern Physics and Ancient Faith, is excellent -- one of the best books I have read in the past several years on any subject. I give it my highest recommendation, at least for those who have some interest in science and religion.

Leave it to another free thinking Jesuit to confuse what any grade schooler about to receive First Holy Communion easily believes and understands!

I've been trying to get a quantum mechanic to check out my wave-function collapse but we can never seem to get together. Every time I call, he's out. He's on the road a lot and he moves pretty fast. Based on his speed, the best I can do is figure out where he's probably at. And usually I get it wrong.

Mark,

Check out Heisenberg Mechanics, "The Really Fast Guys" - they do service calls globally

Mark Brumley

Brian, thanks. I'll look into them. I hear their Heisenberg Compensators are the envy of the industry. Now if they could only figure out how to avoid killing people when they disassemble their forms into the matter stream ... Then we'd have really fast travel. Not FTL, of course, but C-level travel.

Brian J. Schuettler

Alas, avoiding killing people has never been their strong suit. "Forward, always forward!" is their cheerful motto. But other than the murder and mayhem, they are very good at what they do. I can forward their number.(June discount coming up!)
