Ed Peters

I frankly admit, this particular devotion did not sit well with me for some time. I thought it distracting from the Triduum and Easter week to be focusing on a devotion derived from private (albeit approved) revelations. And yes, I was well aware of the reasons offered in its defense. I’m just saying, I did not find them persuasive. I still don’t, not quite. But, for all that, there’s something about it that, with each passing year, seems to make more sense (the timing of it that is, not the devotion itself, which of course is splendid). Doubtless, I’m slowly being let in on a secret others have enjoyed for some time, now.
