... with the Passion and death, the Resurrection and the Ascension of Jesus Christ. It is this mystery of our redemption that the Church has to try to present and to make real to the modern world. When we forget this, then we are in danger of identifying our temporal agenda, no matter how worthwhile that agenda may in fact be, with the Mystery of Faith. It is not just left-wing people who tend to forget or deny this; it is anyone who begins to mistake his cause or principle of action for the definition of Christianity.
