Happy "Do Whatever You Wannakah"??? Sounds more anti-Jewish than anti-Christian. In fact, I'd say that add is pretty much anti-everything. But I don't see why, in the long run, that attitude would entice people to buy gifts. People don't buy presents for holidays they don't celebrate.

Fr. Barron confuses consumerism with capitalism. The basis of capitalism is not the (literally) irresponsible use of money and possessions; the basis of capitalism is usury.

You're spot on with the Priority of Christ. Lets hope his upcoming t.v. series on Catholicism gets wide exposure.
