Ah, isn't that what you want to hear about the pro-abortion friend of Sen. Ted Kennedy who will fill in for the recently deceased "Lion of the Senate" until a January 2010 election. You see, Kirk is

the grand-nephew of Cardinal William H. O'Connell, one of the most powerful figures in local church history, who served as archbishop of Boston from 1907 until his death in 1944. Kirk, 71, is one of five children of Josephine O'Connell, whose father, Edward J. O'Connell, was an older brother of Cardinal O'Connell.

Hmmm. Is Boston the only place in the U.S. with "Catholic royalty?" Do such royality have to swear some sort of oath to uphold and defend certain and sundry aspects of Catholic teaching, except where and when they conflict with the prevalent and infallible doctrines of the abortion industry? Do tell.
