Absolutely scandalous. Archibishops "emeritus" defiantly and directly contradicting Catholic doctrine, "Catholic" politicians pandering to NARAL and Planned Parenthood, and on and on. At long last, *why* won't the USCCB *do* something to put their house in order? Are they Catholic or are they not?

It is funny how somebody is caught in so many lies one can hardly count them yet somehow he is regarded as totally honest when attacking the church. Needless to say the latest version is highly self-serving. He won't name the person in the Vatican who told him to pay the hush money. Can't imagine why?

Doesn't it just make you feel all warm and fuzzy inside?

At least that's what I think it is.

We can expect excommunication, right?

Does this guy sit up nights figuring how next to trash his church?

"Uproot from the garden the stinking weeds full of impurity and avarice and bloated with pride. I mean the evil pastors and administrators who poison and corrupt the garden. Use your authority, you who are in charge." The 14th-century Saint Catherine of Siena to Pope Gregory XI.

Probably good advice to America's bishops.

So Weakland's saying that the world homosexual population is currently around 5.5%?

From whence come his numbers? Seems awfully high & hopeful to me.

Prayer needed

Here is a soul in an enormous need of prayer. One day he will have to face the consequence of his Faustian bargain unless he receives a powerful miracle of grace that enables him to see his denial of personal sin and to seek God's forgiveness. There but for God's grace could go any one of us.To me the saddest aspect of all of this is the souls who may have been hurt and damaged because of the power he wielded within the Church. How many abuse victims went unheard and believing this man represented God lost their precious faith because of him Fortunately our merciful God knows all and he will take the innocent victims to His heart.

"You got mud on your face, you big disgrace, somebody better put you back into your place."
