Paul Cat

Carl,

The "Holy Mysteries" of which ST. J.C speaks is not solely Holy Communion but all of the Sacraments. I'm not sure if you added that side note or not, but it is a point of clarity.

Paul,
While it's true that in the East all the sacraments are called "Mysteries" it is also true that the term "Holy Mysteries" can specifically refer to the Eucharist.

If you re-read the quote from St. John once again, I think you'll see that he is clearly refering to Holy Communion here, and says so specifically at the end.
God bless!
