Christine the Soccer Mom

I saw a story on him (60 Minutes?) where an Anglican bishop said that he basically teaches heresy. And I can't argue with that. In his world, God is loving and kind and caring. Sin is never mentioned. He signs books and has women gush, "You have changed my life!" He said that his goal is to help people have good lives.

Notice that he, though he calls himself a minister/pastor, does not hold his goal as helping people to gain Heaven. It's to get them to have a good temporal life.

Very, very sad. We should pray for his conversion, as well as the millions who believe the Prosperity Gospel he helps to spread.

I saw 10 seconds of him on Glen Beck last night while flipping channels and I felt like I should call an exorcist to come bless my house.

(Of course, try finding an exorcist. A wiccan with a smudge stick, I could find that in the phone book.)

My office is next to the Joel Osteen's Lakewood Church (formerly known as Compaq Center) IMO, this "feel good" Gospel that Joel is spreading does not help at all. I'm not sure how this Properity Gospel would get anywhere with other religion like Muslim.

Joel Osteen is nothing less than a false teacher spoken of in 2 Tim. 4:3-4. He's a servant of Satan. It's no accident that he has such sweet face, sweet manner, and all the rest of it.

A Mauldin

So is the national anthem of Lakewood Janis Joplin's "Oh Lord! (Won't you buy me a Mercedes Benz...)" ???
