Amen.

A great homo ecclesiaticus. You can find more about him and some of his words at Cardinal Jean-Marie Lustiger: Death of the Cardinal.

W, the more common term is "vir ecclesiasticus", but you're on the right track.

W.

Aside from my long ago days in Latin class (from which apparently I have forgotten a bit), I was using a term Fr. Fessio used in his dedication to Cardinal de Lubac in the re-edition of de Lubac's Splendor of the Church:

"Cardinal de Lubac is above all else
a man of the Church, homo ecclesiaticus,
such as he himself portrays in these pages.
He has received all from the Church.
He has returned all to the Church."
