Catholicism and Buddhism

My good friend Dr. Anthony (Tony) Clark will be a guest on Catholic Answers Live today (Monday) from 3:00-4:00 p.m. Pacific to talk about Catholicism and Buddhism. Tony and I co-authored an article on the topic a couple of years ago, and I've had the privilege of hearing Tony speak about Buddhism in both academic and popular settings. As the previous Insight Scoop post details, Tony (along with his lovely wife, Amanda), recently returned from some time in Rome (as well as Paris), where he had been given access to both the Vatican archives and the Papal library (more info here from the University of Alabama, where Tony teaches). Last summer Tony and Amanda spent time researching in Taiwan, where Tony was given access to rare archives, which will also play a significant role in the book he is currently writing about Catholic martyrs in China. It was during that trip that he wrote the article, "Two Chinese Churches? Or One?", for IgnatiusInsight.com.
