Sometimes it just takes one person to have the courage to jump in the Tiber to get others to follow. Great news!

Rick

Dr. Koons may not be as well known as Frank Beckwith, but he is his equal in terms of being a philosopher. All that I can say is WOW!

Ed Peters

Why would anyone want to jump in the Tiber? Yick.

Seriously, this string of intellectual conversions was predicted by Chesterton. Think about it. Exactly how so?

TDD

While not a philosopher, I would consider conservative activist (for lack of a better term) Alan Sears an intellectual. Someone recently told me he's Catholic. Is that true? He used to have ties to the Southern Baptist Convention.

patrick

Ed, Chesterton has proven to be a prophet. Can you site what work he made that prediction?

Carl,

I have begun to read the online pdf of Professor Koons' (94 pg).

It is one of the best descriptions of the relationship
between Lutheran and Catholic (he calls Roman) theology
I have ever seen. Admittedly, the whole controversy
has always been greek to me.

I think you might suggest that it would make a
great book for IP with perhaps some
revisions a forward etc.
(He might want to change Roman to Roman Catholic etc..)

ben

I thought Prof. Koons was Catholic a while back?

Anyway, one question I have of him that I think would be interesting is why not Eastern Orthodoxy? I'm not saying that he should have, I just like to hear the logic process of new converts.

I don’t want to wait till the end of Summer :( , I want it now. Who with me?
save your time and join me. ;)
