Roy Schoeman on "The Conversion of Alphonse Ratisbonne"

Schoeman, author of Salvation Is From the Jews, sent me this note: "Tomorrow, January 20th, is the anniversary of the apparition of the Blessed Virgin Mary to Alphonse Ratisbonne (in Rome, 1847)." He also included links to an account of Ratisbonne's conversion (on his website, www.salvationisfromthejews.com) and Prayers of the Conversion of the Jews from the Breviary for the Octave for Church Unity:

"In addition we are in the week of prayers for Church Unity; the official prayers for that week, from the old Breviary, include some particularly beautiful ones for the conversion of the Jews, which is the intention of day 7 (Jan 24). The second one is, I believe, by Ratisbonne; it was in any case the prayer of the congregation he founded in Israel to pray for the conversion of the Jews."
