It says something that in order to defend Pope Francis, you found it necessary to invoke the manifest sinfulness of Popes from the 10th century. So maybe this won't be the worst papacy in all of history, just the worst for the past thousand years? I don't think it's that bad, but when his defenders feel the need to play that card, it ain't good, neither. Contrariwise.
