As a former Episcopalian, I have to say, *Please*...

Bishop Katharine Jefferts Schori is a scandal and a faux Bishop at best... Wait: the EPCUSA is a now itself a faux church and a scandal. I don't mean in the theological sense Catholics have long held (and for all the Bellocian jibes about the COE being founded on King Henry's hormones, I don't think Catholics really want to go there on the subject of debauched leaders), but in the moral sense. The denomination has sold the pass on questions of basic moral decency. Its new doctrine is Niceness (except when applied to conservatives). Even expecting it to sound like a bonafide church is granting it too much. It used to be called The Republican Party at prayer. Now I think it would more accurate to describe it as the Democratic Party at play. Which is both pathetic and alarming. A tragedy on all counts. It deserves no accounting.
