Interesting that after the far-left Jesuits in the 70's consigned him to anonymity as the rector of San Miguel, Blessed John Paul II stepped in and made him bishop, then Cardinal. And that one of Benedict XVI's last acts as Pope, on February 23, was to name him to the Pontifical Commission for Latin America. If these two trusted him, that bodes well. Also, I know a few members of religious orders in Argentina who speak very, very highly of him - as an orthodox, humble, and generous man.

I wonder what Father Joseph Fessio, our most famous orthodox Jesuit, the founder of Ignatius Press and the Saint Ignatius Institute at the Jesuit University of San Francisco, thinks about Papa Francisco?

So, does Ignatius Press have any plans to publish works our new Holy Father had written in the past?
