Transfiguration gospel "rules" this Sunday, but there is strange awesomeness about the first reading (Gn 15:5-12, 17-18).
Pope Benedict/Cardinal Ratzinger gives it justice with his spectacular reflection on it in "Journey to Easter- Spiritual Reflections for the Lenten Season" (A Crossroad Book).
