I'd be interested to hear/read an indepth perspective on the Society of Jesus from a man like Pacwa, Fessio, Tacelli, etc. If anyone knows of such a thing, please post a link.

Maybe I've missed something, but I've never heard these priests (or other orthodox Jesuits) take their Society to task for the frequent, pridefully inflicted harms they've brought on the Church. And before the end, reform will have to come from within the order itself, otherwise death or suppresion are their only options.

My God, how has the order of Edmund Campion come to such a pass?

We don't hear much about Jesuits publicly "taking to task" their brother Jesuits. For that matter, we dont hear much about Capuchins, Dominicans, or Carmelites doing the same, either. But I'm sure there's a lot of internal discussion going on. Maybe the vow of obedience has something to do with it? Or the avoidance of scandal?

Thomas

"Or the avoidance of scandal?"

That ship has sailed...

...and redocked in Provincetown, MA.
