Pope Benedict XVI's Rookie Year?
We're deluged with articles marking Pope Benedict XVI's one year anniversary as pope. From my perspective, that's a good thing, although some of the things being written aren't necessarily good or accurate.
In any case, here are some links:
Time: story.
Time photo essay: here.
Here is The Washington Post's piece.
Reuters has this.
MSNBC's story.
ABC online is here.
John Allen's analysis is here.
CBS news' story.
BBC news.
Believe what you will. These are links to the MSM, for the most part, so judgment is called for.

Thanks for the roundup.

Mark, the Washington Post link appears to be another link to the Time article.
On a different note, the conclusion of the Time piece reminded me a little bit of some earlier discussions about the media we've had here. It is interesting to think that perhaps most non-Catholics relate to the Pope as a media figure, with all that entails.

The WashPost gets it right. As a conservative I was hoping for a bit more "house cleaning." When the Levada and Niederauer annoucements came I must admit to being very shocked.
